SCCA Club racing is the top level amateur racing in the country, with events on a national and regional level. Club Racing is wheel to wheel on some of the countries top road courses. There are many different classes of cars for preparation and costs factors.
The Carolina Cup Pro Series is a regional points series conducted jointly by the Central Carolinas Region (CCR), North Carolina Region (NCR) and South Carolina Region (SCR) of the Sports Car Club of America (SCCA). The series runs a 45 minute restricted regional race under the current General Competition Rules (GCR) of the SCCA and the CCPS rules. All cars classified in the following SCCA classes are eligible to participate in the CCPS: ITS, ITA, ITB, ITC, SSB, SSC, IT7, SM, SRF. All cars must conform to the current SCCA GCR competition specifications and/or any other sanctioning body specifications as it applies to the class. All SCCA National, Regional and Novice Permit holders (with drivers school requirements completed) are eligible to compete in the CCPS. There is an annual series registration fee of $15.00 for the current calendar year.
